Skins

Skins A stroke play with a determined wager (skins) on each hole.

In this game only the Best Ball gives points on each hole: if two or more have the same score, the stake is carried over to the next hole and the bet can get quite high.

As in the other games, Stableford scoring should be used. All players participate in the "carry over".

Often the wager is doubled on the last holes to make it even more interesting.

This sidegame is typical for rounds with 3 or 4 participants that know each other well and the size of the wager should not be so high that it really bothers anyone It is often used with money as the wager; e.g. 1 Euro per hole from each players on the first 12 holes, and then 2 Euro per player on the remaining six holes.

The winner usually buys the round on hole 19.An exciting game and the carry-over makes it entertaining. What usually happens is that everyone wins some skins. Where there are carry-overs it can be a lot to gain.
