Pure Joy

Pure Joy Yesterday I wrote the text about "Frustration", having just returned from the golf course. There I had been whacking the ball around the first three holes. On hole 2, which is a par 3 and 128 meters over a water hazard, I practiced by shooting 7 balls - one after the other.

Somehow, they all ended up in the water, in the sand or in the rough. I did not feel good and a text about frustration was the right thing to write.

Today I came back from the course after having played 9 holes. If I allow myself one mulligan and tell myself that the wonderful shot over the trees - to a place where the ball could not be found again - actually was a good shot, then somehow I was able to play my personal par. (You are allowed to lie a little bit to yourself when you are practicing!)

I feel good and very confident again. The bad shots did not happen, they are wiped from my memory and I am looking forward to the tournament this weekend.

I am going to have fun.
No matter what the score may turn out to be.
